

MARTIKA is an American pop singer-songwriter and actress. As a singer she released two internationally successful albums in the late 1980s and early 1990s, selling over four million copies worldwide. MARTIKA began her career as a child actor, as a dancing orphan in the hit movie Annie. She was cast as 'Gloria' on the Disney Channel children's musical variety series Kids Incorporated, appearing alongside Stacy 'Fergie' Ferguson, Mario Lopez, Shanice, and others. Upon leaving Kids Incorporated, she was signed to CBS/Sony records in 1988 and released her debut CD titled Martika which spawned several top 40 hits. Culminating with her Billboard #1 hit song Toy Soldiers. Martika the album sold over 3 million units worldwide and made MARTIKA an international star. MARTIKA continued working in television and had a recurring role in 1990 on the hit series Wiseguy playing lounge singer Dahlia Mendez. In 1991 her follow up CD, featuring collaborations with Prince and Celia Cruz, Martika's Kitchen was released. Martika's Kitchen was a hit overseas and MARTIKA toured Europe, Japan and Australia in support of her growing success. Love...Thy Will Be Done, co-written by Prince, became a hit and was #1 in Australia for five straight weeks. MARTIKA started working as a writer and producer through much of the 90's.
Missing the stage, MARTIKA formed a duo called OPPERA and in 2004 they released their debut CD Violince. In 2005 they released their follow up Oppera. MARTIKA toured with Pat Benatar to support the new material. MARTIKA released the dance single Flow With The Go in 2012 and has since returned to the stage performing her past hits to loving audiences worldwide. Highlights include performing to a sold out crowd of 12,500 in Santiago, Chile (Movistar Arena) with Rick Astley, Samantha Fox and Debbie Gibson as part of the Hit Parade Festival. Next up for MARTIKA is headlining the Totally 80s Tour in Australia alongside 80s acts Berlin, Limal, Katrina (ex Katrina & The Waves) Paul Lekakis, Stacey Q, Men Without Hats, Wa Wa Nee and Real Life. The list is sure to grow!
